- Description Los Prisioneros fue una banda chilena, considerada la más importante de su país y una de las más destacadas e influyentes de América Latina. Formada en los años 1980 en la comuna de San Miguel, estuvo compuesta en un principio por Jorge González (voz, bajo y principal compositor), Claudio Narea (guitarra, voz y coros) y Miguel Tapia (batería, voz y coros). Corazones is the fourth studio album by the Chilean rock band Los Prisioneros, released in 1990. Produced by the Argentine Gustavo Santaolalla, in conjunction with Aníbal Kerpel, it was recorded, mixed and mastered in Los Angeles, California. What’s more, the album was distributed overseas by the Capitol label, and it was the first album by Los Prisioneros recorded outside of Chile. Before the production of the album, Corazones, between July and August 1989, the group Los Prisioneros recorded at the Konstantinopla Studios owned by Carlos Cabezas Rocuant, “Beaucheff 1435”. Whose name is due to the musician’s home address Jorge González, where the songs on the album that would welcome 1990s were composed the vast majority. A part of these themes were known in 1996 with the album compilation Ni Por La Razon, Ni Por La Fuerza. CD - THE BELFAST SESSIONS
This, our latest collection of songs, was recorded at RedBox Studios in Belfast. We’ve wanted to record there for awhile now and finally the timing was right for all. Dónal O’Connor one of the owners, produced it with expertise, poise, patience and not a few threats, the main one being “no more Guinness till youse get this track right.” Inspirational words indeed! He was somehow able to corral us and steer us in the right direction on each song. I’m sure he’d love to work with us again – maybe! We had a great time all together recording there, and hopefully dear fans you’ll enjoy listening. In these uncertain times remember, music hath charms to soothe a savage breast. I think that was a quote from Paul McCartney, or possibly Bob Dylan. Enjoy!
