- Lion’s Mane (Hericium erinaceus) Extract: More Than Just a Mushroom Native to North America, Asia, and Europe, where it forms large, shaggy growths on dead tree trunks, the lion’s mane (Hericium erinaceus) mushroom has become of huge interest in the West in recent years. However, in countries like Japan, Korea, and China, lion’s mane has a rich and long history of use in local cuisine and traditional holistic practices, serving as a delicious source of protein, carbohydrates, and fiber, as well as bioactive plant compounds. For example, lion’s mane is a great source of polysaccharides, hericenones, erinacines, alkaloids, and natural steroids. This extract contains a minimum of 30% polysaccharides—to make 1 kg of extract with such high concentrations, 10–12kg of lion’s mane mushroom powder is needed. Ingredients: Lion’s mane extract (Hericium erinaceus) Great source of non-animal protein Rich in carbohydrates and fibre Contains hericenones and erinacines 100% natural Contains at least 30% polysaccharides Advisory information Lion’s mane extract can be added to yogurt or tea and enjoyed as such. A normal dose is around ½ teaspoon, taken once daily. A high dose is considered to be 0.5g, taken three times daily. Shelf life: 4 years when stored properly. Store lion’s mane extract in a sealed container at room temperature or lower. Keep in a dry place, out of direct sunlight, and out of the reach of children. Nutritional supplements such as Wunder mushroom gummies are no substitute for a varied diet. Consult your doctor before consuming nutrient-dense supplements.
CD - THE BELFAST SESSIONS
This, our latest collection of songs, was recorded at RedBox Studios in Belfast. We’ve wanted to record there for awhile now and finally the timing was right for all. Dónal O’Connor one of the owners, produced it with expertise, poise, patience and not a few threats, the main one being “no more Guinness till youse get this track right.” Inspirational words indeed! He was somehow able to corral us and steer us in the right direction on each song. I’m sure he’d love to work with us again – maybe! We had a great time all together recording there, and hopefully dear fans you’ll enjoy listening. In these uncertain times remember, music hath charms to soothe a savage breast. I think that was a quote from Paul McCartney, or possibly Bob Dylan. Enjoy!
